Elaine LoPartnerElaine Lo is the Senior Partner of Jingtian & Gongcheng LLP. She previously served as the Senior Partner and Asia Chair of an international law firm, in addition to serving as a member on its Global Management Committee from January 2008 to May 2016. She focuses on foreign direct investment into China, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, technology transfers, and corporate restructuring. Elaine works across multiple industry sectors in China, including energy, utilities, telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, retail, advertising, logistics and distribution. She has extensive experience in acting for government authorities, project sponsors, lenders and equity participants in project finance deals. She advises banks and financial institutions on M&A, asset and project finance.Elaine has been named as an Eminent Practitioner in Corporate/M&A by Chambers Asia Pacific in 2014 and was recommended by various publications as a leading individual in PRC Law. She has also been recognized as Managing Partner of the Year by Asian Legal Business in 2008, 2009 and 2015.Elaine is a China Appointed Attesting Officer (appointed by the Ministry of Justice of PRC). She graduated from the University College London (University of London) and speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Mr. Sunny Chen graduated from Fudan University Law School with Ph.D. in Civil and Commercial law.
Mr. Chen joined Jingtian & Gongcheng as a Partner in 2008. He once worked for King & Wood in Shanghai as an associate.
Mr. Chen is based in Shanghai and Hong Kong, he specializes in corporate, securities,private equity investment and legal risk control of public company.
Mr. Chen has participated in numerous IPOs and listing transactions for Chinese enterprises on domestic and international stock markets, including Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, USA ,and Singapore. These IPO projects involve many sectors such as Internet, power, energy, real estate, media, advertising, pharmaceuticals, healthy food and manufacturing, etc. He also serves as legal counsel to a number of listed companies.
Mr. Chen is experienced in private equity investments and acquisitions. He has participated in a large number of private equity transactions in China.
Mr. Chen obtained the PRC lawyer's qualification certificate in 2000.
Mr. Chen’s working languages are Mandarin (native), Cantonese (fluent) and English.

Jason Chiang is a Partner of Jingtian & Gongcheng LLP, specializing in capital markets and corporate M&A.
Having previously worked at several international law firms, Jason focuses on a broad range of capital markets matters, including Hong Kong IPOs, secondary offerings (including rights issues, open offers and placings), compliance matters for Hong Kong-listed companies, stock exchange enforcement matters, private and public M&A matters and pre-IPO investments.
He represents issuers and sponsors in Hong Kong IPOs, advises and assists sponsors with their due diligence, and all other matters required to complete the listing process. For secondary offerings and private M&A transactions, he identifies major legal issues/hurdles at early stage and he has acted for clients on negotiations with other parties on the terms of the agreements, project execution and coordination with all relevant professional parties and regulators. On enforcement and compliance matters, Jason has also represented issuers on stock exchange compliance and disciplinary matters.
Jason studied law at the University of Warwick and completed his postgraduate certificate in laws at the University of Hong Kong. He is qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong and is fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.

Jimmy Chan is a Partner of Jingtian & Gongcheng LLP, specializing in financial regulatory investigations and litigation proceedings.
Jimmy spent 14 years with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), where he served as Director and Head of International and Policy of the Enforcement Division. In this role, he worked closely with international financial regulators, including the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and handled international cross-border investigations. He also has substantial experience in listed company investigations and SFC disciplinary proceedings involving financial intermediaries, appearing before the Securities and Futures Appeals Tribunal. He received the SFC Individual Outstanding Award twice for his work on disciplinary appeals and Lehman Minibond investigations.
Since returning to private practice, he has successfully represented licensed corporations, listed companies and their directors in HKEx's enquiries and SFC's investigations.He has also assisted a listed company in lifting a trading suspension imposed by the SFC under the Securities and Futures (Stock Market Listing) Rules.
Jimmy studied law at the University of Hong Kong and obtained postgraduate law degrees from University College London (Chevening Scholar) and Harvard Law School (Harvard HKJC Postgraduate Scholar). He is qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales, and as an attorney in the State of New York. He has been a contributing editor of Sweet & Maxwell's Securities and Futures Ordinance: Commentary and Annotations.
